Lincoln County Commissioners Receive Road, Facilities and Election Updates

TROY, Mo. — All three Lincoln County commissioners were present Tuesday morning as the commission held a brief meeting focused primarily on routine department updates, with a growing audience of residents and several elected officials also in attendance.

Commissioners Joe Kaimann, Mike Mueller and Matt Bass heard updates from the Highway Department, Project Management and Human Resources. Economic Development was listed on the agenda but did not present during the meeting. No major votes or lengthy discussions took place.

Highway Department Director Jeremy Partl reported resurfacing work on Blue Goose and Sand Run roads has been completed. Crews continue making progress on Blackmore Road and are preparing to begin additional improvements on Creech Road. The county also continues its pavement rejuvenation program on several roadways. Partl discussed drainage improvements, roadside vegetation maintenance and preparations for an upcoming quarry inspection.

Project Manager Robert Henebry updated commissioners on the Old Monroe bridge project, including ongoing coordination regarding railroad clearances and permitting. He also provided updates on maintenance projects at county facilities, improvements at the Justice Center and installation of fleet tracking equipment.

Human Resources Director Aimee Forys reported on county hiring efforts, implementation of the county’s new payroll and timekeeping system, employee training and other personnel-related updates.

Commissioners also discussed absentee voting for the upcoming August election, noting that early voting has begun and reminding residents of extended voting hours and upcoming Saturday voting opportunities.

The meeting concluded after department reports and approval of previous meeting minutes.

While the agenda was relatively light, attendance continues to grow as more residents and elected officials regularly attend commission meetings to observe county business.
