The November 3 general election is just weeks away! In-person absentee voting began on September 22 and will continue until the close of business on Monday, October 19. If you expect to be absent on Election Day, please bring your photo ID to Room 103 of the old courthouse on Main Street in Troy. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m.

Early voting begins on Tuesday, October 20. During the early voting period, any registered Lincoln County voter can cast their ballot in person in Room 105 of the old courthouse on Main Street in Troy. Early voting hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. We will also offer extended hours on Wednesday, October 21 and 28 until 6 p.m., and Saturday, October 24 and 31 from 8 a.m.–noon.

Curbside assistance is available for voters with limited mobility upon request. If you require curbside assistance, park in the south parking lot off Collier Street and call (636) 462-8090.

If you need to have an absentee ballot mailed to you because you are living out of town as a student or working out of town, complete the absentee ballot request form from our website at https://www.lincolncomo.gov/absentee-voting and submit it via email, fax, or U.S. mail to the address listed on the form. The form must be submitted no later than Wednesday, October 21.

The county clerk’s office can now track mail ballots both to the voter and from the voter back to the clerk’s office. However, with the egregious delays that the U.S.P.S. has been experiencing for months now, we recommend that whenever possible, voters cast their ballot in person. We have the staffing and the safeguards in place to ensure that every voter who casts a ballot in person will provide a valid photo ID and will be processed according to all Missouri Election Laws, ensuring that your ballot will be counted.

Voters who are just not able to come in person and need to have a ballot mailed to them at school or their job posting in another town or state should submit their request now and stay on top of that request. Do not hesitate to contact our office if your ballot has not arrived and make sure that you track it back to us. Given enough time, we can help ensure that you have an opportunity to vote. Sometimes a phone call or an email is all it takes to save you from the frustration of missing a deadline.

Please go to the Lincoln County website at https://www.lincolncomo.gov/elections for more information about voting on November 3. You can also follow us on Facebook at Lincoln County Clerk & Election Authority to keep up with important deadlines.
