Warren County Man Held Without Bond After Woman Describes Sword Attack in Bathroom
WARREN COUNTY, Mo. — The threat was to “cut” her. The weapon, a sword pressed against her face and neck.
A woman told deputies Sean David Robinett forced her into a bathroom and pushed her against a wall after accusing her of helping people arrive at the home. Those people, she said, were hallucinations following his recent narcotics use.
Deputies responding to a reported hostage situation found her shaking and crying, with marks on her arm, neck and cheek. Robinett, who has a previous domestic assault conviction, remains in custody without bond.
Sean Robinett — Troy, Missouri

CHARGES
Armed criminal action — felony
Second-degree domestic assault — felony
Possession of a controlled substance — felony
First-degree harassment — felony
Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia — misdemeanor
The call brought deputies to the residence shortly after 5:10 a.m. Nov. 1.
The woman described Robinett turning his suspicions toward her, accusing her of facilitating the arrival of people she said he was imagining. He grabbed a sword and pointed it at her before taking hold of her right arm.
She said he forced her into the bathroom, pushed her against the wall and put the blade against her face and neck. During the confrontation, she said, he threatened to “cut” her and also grabbed her by the neck.
The encounter left injuries a responding deputy could see: a bruise on her right arm, a scratch on the right side of her neck and a small cut on her right cheek.
She struggled to keep her composure while recounting what had happened. The woman and Robinett were in a romantic relationship and had previously lived together.
When deputies entered the residence with permission, the bathroom became part of the investigation for another reason. On the counter, they found a syringe filled with dark red liquid and a crystalline substance that field-tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Robinett later admitted using methamphetamine in the bathroom. But when questioned about the sword, he offered a different account, saying he had pulled it from the woman’s possession.
He also showed the deputy videos. In one, the deputy reported seeing Robinett examining a syringe that appeared to be prepared for drug use.
The new charges follow a May 24, 2021, conviction for second-degree domestic assault in Warren County.
This time, the court ordered Robinett held without bond. The warrant states that no combination of monetary or nonmonetary conditions would “secure the safety of the community or other person.”
Robinett faces four felony charges and one misdemeanor in the pending case.
