CHARGES

  • Domestic assault, second degree — Class D felony

The argument began inside a Lincoln County residence. The woman told a responding deputy she tried to calm the situation by walking outside into an open area.

When the confrontation became physical, she headed toward the road, trying to reach a neighbor’s residence.

She described Clark tackling her to the ground multiple times as she attempted to get away.

While she was on the ground, she said Clark stood over her and kicked her, including in the face.

The responding deputy observed swelling around one eye, redness and bruising beginning to appear. The woman also reported possible bruising elsewhere.

Clark had left before the deputy arrived, and his whereabouts were initially unknown.

The next day, the deputy returned to assist the Division of Family Services with an investigation. Before approaching the residence, the deputy found a gold Ford associated with Clark parked behind the home.

The woman answered the door and said Clark was inside. The deputy asked him to come outside, where he was arrested.

After being advised of his rights, Clark acknowledged there had been a dispute. He said he and the woman had been drinking and that he did not remember the specifics. He provided no additional statements about the incident.

The responding deputy also documented a September 29 arrest for third-degree domestic assault, referencing an earlier incident report. Lincoln CountyWatch has not independently confirmed whether a separate criminal charge was filed in connection with that arrest.

In seeking Clark’s arrest warrant, the deputy described a continuing pattern of domestic violence and expressed concern for the woman’s safety.

“Each occurrence has gotten increasingly more violent,” the deputy wrote.

The current case charges Clark with second-degree domestic assault, a Class D felony. His bond conditions prohibit contact with the victim and require real-time GPS monitoring before release.

Clark remains in custody.
