WINFIELD, MO — A Winfield man was arrested Monday evening after deputies responding to a reported domestic disturbance documented significant eye injuries and markings consistent with a chokehold, following an altercation inside a Winfield residence that unfolded while a juvenile was present.
Shane Michael Allred

Charges
Domestic Assault, 2nd Degree (Felony)
Domestic Assault, 4th Degree (Misdemeanor)
Allred was taken into custody on Monday, January 26, and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold pending the completion of a warrant application. A judge later set a $15,000 cash-only bond. Court-ordered conditions include no contact with the protected individual and SCRAM alcohol monitoring.
The incident occurred Monday evening at a residence in Winfield when deputies were dispatched at approximately 8:15 p.m. for a reported physical domestic disturbance. The initial call came from inside the home reporting ongoing physical violence.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim, who appeared visibly shaken and displayed significant swelling and discoloration around the left eye, with puffiness extending to surrounding areas. Additional redness was observed on the neck and jaw area.
The victim reported that the confrontation began inside the home and escalated into repeated physical contact. During the altercation, the victim stated they were struck multiple times and pushed to the ground. At one point, the victim reported being grabbed from behind with hands placed around the neck, applying pressure that restricted airflow and made breathing difficult.
Deputies asked the victim to demonstrate how the hold occurred, during which pressure around the neck was described as causing tightening in the throat and fear during the incident. Deputies documented visible redness, bruising, and markings on the neck consistent with a chokehold, as well as bruising around the eye consistent with recent trauma. Photographs of the injuries were taken for documentation.
A witness inside the residence reported observing portions of the altercation and confirmed physical contact occurred. Deputies later located Allred inside the home, where he appeared visibly agitated. He was taken into custody without further incident, though deputies noted additional behavior while escorting him from the residence.
Allred was transported to Mercy Lincoln Hospital for evaluation but declined medical treatment. He was later booked into the Lincoln County Jail.
All charges are allegations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
