Man Killed After E-Bike Struck by Pickup on U.S. 61 Near Moscow Mills

Moscow Mills, Mo — A 40-year-old man has been identified after a fatal crash early Saturday morning involving an e-bike and a pickup truck along U.S. 61.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:02 a.m. on May 2, 2026, on northbound U.S. 61 just north of Dietrich Road. Troopers report that a 2020 Toyota Tundra, driven by a 36-year-old man from Troy, was traveling northbound when it struck an e-bike being operated in the roadway.


The rider of the e-bike, identified by the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office as Raymond John Mueller, 40, of Moscow Mills, was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 12:15 a.m.


The driver of the pickup was wearing a seatbelt and was not reported injured. According to the crash report, the e-bike operator was not wearing a safety device. The pickup sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene, while the e-bike was towed.


The crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol with assistance from the Major Crash Investigative Unit and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation remains ongoing.
