McDonald’s Closed Saturday After Overnight Fryer Fire; Owner Hopes to Reopen Sunday
TROY, Mo. — The McDonald’s near Highway 47 and North Lincoln Drive will be closed Saturday after a fryer fire sent smoke through the restaurant shortly after midnight.
Kendra, who spoke with Lincoln CountyWatch on behalf of the restaurant Saturday morning, said the fire started in a fryer and traveled into the vent above it. The fire was contained to that area, but the smoke left cleanup and repairs to be done before the restaurant can serve food again. Everyone inside was evacuated, and no one was injured.

By the time Lincoln CountyWatch arrived, crews had put out the fire and were ventilating the building. We saw Troy Police, Wentzville Fire, Lincoln County Fire, Winfield-Foley Fire and Lincoln County Ambulance District on scene. Kendra expressed her appreciation for the emergency responders and said everyone inside followed the procedures they were supposed to.

The owner’s goal is to reopen Sunday, Kendra said, but that depends on the work still needed inside. No reopening time has been set.
