Tractor-Trailer Rollover Closes Hwy. 61 to One Lane; Search Continues for Missing Driver

MOSCOW MILLS, Mo. — A tractor-trailer rollover on Hwy. 61 southbound near John Creech Rd. continues to impact traffic overnight as emergency crews work to clear the scene and search for the truck’s driver.

The crash occurred shortly after midnight on July 30, prompting a large multi-agency response. As of approximately 2:15 a.m., southbound Hwy. 61 remains reduced to one lane and is expected to stay that way for several more hours, likely affecting the morning commute.

Emergency crews have not yet located the driver of the overturned tractor-trailer. Search efforts remain active, with Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) deploying drones to assist in searching the surrounding area.

In addition to the search, crews must unload the trailer, which is carrying food products, before the overturned truck can be recovered, a process expected to significantly extend the duration of the incident.

Multiple agencies have responded to the scene, including the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County Fire Protection District, Wright City Fire Protection District, Lincoln County Ambulance District, Lincoln County Emergency Management Agency, and additional fire and EMS personnel.

Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and move over for emergency vehicles. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes if possible as the response continues into the morning.

Lincoln CountyWatch has learned the driver who left the scene after the semi-truck rollover on U.S. Highway 61 was later identified by investigators and cited in connection with the incident.

At this time, Lincoln CountyWatch has not independently obtained the official crash report or other public records confirming the driver’s identity. Because of that, we are not identifying the individual by name.
