Pilot Injured After Helicopter Goes Down Near Troy

Troy, Mo. — A helicopter pilot was injured Monday evening after a helicopter went down shortly after takeoff near Aero Drive and Brake Road in Troy.


Emergency crews were dispatched to the area after reports of a helicopter crash shortly before 7 p.m.

According to information provided to Lincoln CountyWatch by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the helicopter was occupied only by the pilot at the time of the incident.


The aircraft reportedly went down shortly after takeoff.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol received notification of the crash at approximately 6:44 p.m.


The pilot suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities described the pilot’s condition as stable.


Multiple emergency agencies responded to the scene and remained in the area as crews worked the incident.

No other injuries were reported.
