School Schedule Impacts

All schedule changes listed below are pre-planned and not weather-related.

  • Winfield: Early dismissal Monday, February 2

  • Silex: No school Monday, February 2

  • Elsberry: No school Monday, February 2


No delayed starts, virtual learning days, parent-teacher conferences, or school board meetings are scheduled this week.

April 7, 2026 Election Update

Candidate Filing

Candidate filing for the April 7 municipal election has closed, and the official candidate list has been certified. All filed candidates for all positions are now finalized.

Ballot Measures Voters Will See

Voters will be asked to consider several ballot questions on April 7, including:


  • Lincoln County

    • Renewal of the countywide road and bridge sales tax

    • Countywide sales tax dedicated to law enforcement services


  • Emergency Services

    • Lincoln County Ambulance District sales tax measure

    • Warrenton Fire Protection District sales tax measure

    • Wright City Fire Protection District sales tax measure


  • Schools

    • Silex R-I School District operating levy question


  • Municipal Measures

    • City of Troy local use tax question

    • City of Moscow Mills proposal to extend the mayor’s term from two years to four years (applying to future mayors only)

According to MoDOT:

  • Route H will be closed Tuesday, February 3, for culvert replacement between Route PP and Buck Creek Road near Silex from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.


Drivers should plan alternate routes during the closure window.


No additional road closures have been announced at this time.
