TROY, Mo. — A visit to a Troy pet grooming business has led to felony charges after a customer reported their financial information was later used without permission.
The case involves Nudles On The Growl, a pet grooming business in Troy, where a customer brought their cats for grooming in early December. After dropping the cats off, the customer was contacted about the cost of services — approximately $175 per cat — and provided their card information over the phone to pay for the grooming.
In the days that followed, the customer discovered unauthorized charges on their account. The charges were made at Scooter’s Coffee in Troy on two separate occasions — one the next day and another the following day. The customer reported they did not make those purchases and did not authorize the use of their card.
Erica Nicole Baldwin

Charges:
Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Device
Stealing
Bond:
$5,000 cash only (10% authorized)
Court filings indicate Baldwin is associated with Nudles On The Growl, a pet grooming business located in Troy, and that her listed address on file matches the business location. Allegations state the fraudulent activity stemmed from a customer interaction at the business, though no determination of guilt has been made and all charges remain allegations at this stage.
When Lincoln CountyWatch reached out to the Troy Police Department regarding the matter, the department stated it was not actively tracking reports tied directly to incidents within city limits and advised that cases were being issued through the Lincoln County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office based on complaints originating outside the city. Troy Police noted that could change if a report is filed by a Troy resident.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there is an active investigation surrounding allegations of fraud. The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office confirmed Baldwin was arrested and released and stated the investigation is ongoing, with the potential for additional charges.
At the time of publication, Nudles On The Growl had not responded to requests for comment.
Prosecutors advised that anyone who believes they may be a victim connected to this case should contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office to report the matter.
