Driver Seriously Injured After MoDOT Truck Rolls Over Near Silex


SILEX, Mo. — A Missouri Department of Transportation truck driver suffered serious injuries Monday morning after the truck traveled off Route E and overturned east of Norton Road in Lincoln County.


The crash happened at approximately 10:45 a.m. Aug. 10 and initially prompted an emergency response and closure of Route E while crews worked the scene.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report shows the 59-year-old Montgomery City man was driving a 2018 Mack truck when it traveled off the right side of the roadway before overturning.


The driver, who was wearing a safety device, suffered serious injuries. Lincoln County Ambulance District transported him to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis for treatment.


The Mack truck was totaled and removed from the scene by Jackson Towing.

The crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
