If you’ve driven through Troy or Moscow Mills lately, chances are you’ve heard someone mention Five Finger Wings — and for good reason. What started as a love for big, juicy wings has quickly turned into a local favorite that people are genuinely excited about.

Five Finger Wings has two locations serving Lincoln County: one at 171 Moscow Springs Plaza in Moscow Mills, which has been open for a few years, and a newer spot at Oakley Plaza in Troy, which opened earlier this year. Both locations share the same goal — serve great food, create a welcoming space, and give people a reason to come back hungry.

The name itself tells the story. It came from watching how wings are actually eaten — messy, hands-on, and worth every napkin. “How many fingers does it take to eat a wing?” That question turned into a name, and the experience absolutely lives up to it.

The wings are the obvious headliner, and they don’t disappoint. They’re big, meaty, and packed with flavor. During our visit, we tried the Sticky Sauce wings, which struck the perfect balance between sweet and heat — the kind of flavor many people think of as hot honey — without overpowering the wing itself. Sticky, bold, and memorable.

One surprise standout was Jen’s Ranch — cool, fresh, and dangerously good. It paired so well with the wings that we honestly wished we could buy it by the bottle. If that ever happens, sign us up.

Five Finger Wings offers more than wings, though. The menu has depth. The garlic parmesan burger continues to be a fan favorite, and the house seasonings — especially the Yum Yum rub — are worth ordering on just about anything. Adding Cajun seasoning to fries or appetizers is a simple move that pays off.

Dessert deserves its own moment. The red velvet cake was rich, fresh, and exactly what you want after wings — especially if you’re sharing.

Behind the scenes, Five Finger Wings is family-owned, run by owners raising six kids right here in the community. That family-first mindset shows in how the business is run and how customers are treated.

The staff reflects that same energy. Many team members are working their first-ever jobs, learning responsibility and customer service in a place that actually supports them. It’s clear this is a business investing back into the community.

And they’re not slowing down. Wing challenges, a picture wall, new sauces, kid-friendly desserts, and even apparel are all on the horizon.
