Troy Woman Accused of Attacking Officers After Assault Outside The Barracks
TROY, Mo. — An officer trying to fasten a seat belt became the next target during an arrest outside The Barracks Bar & Grill. The woman being taken into custody is accused of attempting to bite the officer—a confrontation that continued after she arrived at the hospital.
Marcia Jackson, Troy, Missouri

CHARGES
Domestic assault, fourth degree — Class A misdemeanor
Assault, fourth degree — Class A misdemeanor, three counts
The October 10 call began with a reported assault in the parking lot of The Barracks on Frenchman Bluff Lane shortly before 8 p.m.
The person who reported being struck told an officer they had gotten into a vehicle with Jackson while leaving the bar. Inside, they said, Jackson began hitting them in the face, knocking their glasses off.
They described striking back in self-defense before Jackson pushed them out of the vehicle.
That person was initially handcuffed and placed in a patrol vehicle while the officer investigated. Two people in the parking lot corroborated the account that Jackson had struck first.
Meanwhile, Jackson remained in the passenger seat, shouting toward customers and others nearby.
Officers removed Jackson from the vehicle and arrested her. Getting her into a patrol car brought another struggle.
She kicked her legs out as officers tried to seat her. Once she was inside, an officer reached in to fasten her seat belt and reported that Jackson tried to bite their hand. Another officer held her head away to prevent a bite.
Officers then took Jackson to Mercy Lincoln for medical clearance before confinement.
Inside an examination room, she repeatedly stood and tried to leave despite instructions to remain seated. When an officer placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her from reaching the exit, she turned toward that officer’s hand and attempted to bite it.
The struggle moved onto a hospital bed, where officers restrained Jackson. She was described as kicking an officer’s legs and hips, then making another attempt to bite an officer’s hand.
Throughout the encounter, the responding officer documented shouting, profanities and insults. Once Jackson calmed down, the officers stepped back out of her reach.
The resulting charges cover three separate points in the evening: the reported assault inside the vehicle outside The Barracks, an attempted bite during placement in the patrol car, and the confrontation at Mercy Lincoln.
Jackson faces one fourth-degree domestic assault count and three fourth-degree assault counts. All are Class A misdemeanors.
She has been released from custody. The warrant authorized a $4,000 cash-only bond and prohibited contact with the victims and alcohol consumption.
