WINFIELD, Mo. — A series of escalating text messages sent despite an active order of protection led to an arrest after law enforcement determined the communications posed a credible concern for safety, according to investigators involved in the case.
Tyler Scott Springer

Charges
Violation of Order of Protection for Adult (Misdemeanor A)
Harassment – 2nd Degree (Misdemeanor A)
Springer is being held on a $10,000 cash-only bond. He is scheduled to appear for an initial court hearing on Tuesday, February 10, at 1:30 p.m. in Associate Division III at the Lincoln County Courthouse.
Investigators say the incident began when Springer continued contacting the protected party through repeated text messages, despite an active court order prohibiting any form of communication. The messages were reported to law enforcement after their tone escalated and became increasingly threatening.
According to information reviewed by authorities, the messages included explicit threats such as “You gone die,” and “Half the battle we coming for you next.” Additional messages referenced firearms, surveillance, and future harm, raising concerns not only for the protected party but also for other family members.
Law enforcement was advised that the messages continued over multiple days and that Springer allegedly referenced the location of the victim and her family. Investigators were also informed that relatives connected to the situation had received threatening messages linked to the same dispute.
Deputies attempted to locate Springer at several known addresses before eventually making contact. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lincoln County Jail, where he remains as the case moves forward through the court system.
