A Hawk Point man wanted on a Texas felony warrant was taken into custody after allegedly fleeing the scene of an Interstate 70 crash and barricading himself inside a Wright City motel room.

A Lincoln County crash investigation led deputies to obtain a blood draw search warrant after a Troy man allegedly left the scene, later drove past investigators on a UTV, and refused a breath test. He is now being held on a $125,000 cash-only bond.

A disturbance in Troy Tuesday night led to five arrests after police say a truck nearly struck someone, property was damaged, and several people interfered with officers attempting to make arrests. Charges range from assault and property damage to resisting arrest and interfering with first responders.
