A false 911 report claiming two people had been shot inside the Troy Walmart prompted an evacuation and multi-agency response. Officers thoroughly searched the store before it reopened.

Questions remain after some Lincoln County Fair attendees reported concerns involving online ticket purchases, payment processing and entry procedures during the 2026 fair.

Lincoln County residents will see a $2 increase in recording fees and marriage license costs beginning Aug. 28, according to the Recorder of Deeds Office.
