TROY, Mo. — A Jonesburg man is in custody after authorities say he nearly struck a Troy gas station with his truck before officers discovered suspected fentanyl capsules during an investigation.
According to court documents, officers with the Troy Police Department were dispatched Thursday afternoon to the Victory Lane Gas Station on West Highway 47 after a report of a driver who had nearly hit the building.
When officers arrived, they located a white Ford truck parked in front of the business.

Court records show Quintana is being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond. He remains in custody as of Friday. A court date has not yet been scheduled.
When officers approached the vehicle, they reportedly found a man sitting in the driver’s seat with his eyes closed and his head slumped forward.
Concerned the vehicle could move again, an officer reached inside the truck and placed it in park before removing the keys from the ignition.
The man, later identified as David Lonnie Quintana, woke up and began speaking with officers.
According to investigators, Quintana grabbed his hooded sweatshirt and tucked it against his side as he stepped out of the vehicle. Officers noted he appeared slow to move and had difficulty answering questions.
Officers asked Quintana if there was anything illegal inside the vehicle, which he denied. Quintana then consented to a search of the truck.
During that search, officers say they located a small plastic bag containing multiple multi-colored pill capsules hidden beneath Quintana’s sweatshirt.
Based on their training and experience, officers believed the capsules contained fentanyl, a controlled substance.
Quintana was taken into custody at the scene.
Officers continued searching the vehicle and later located another pill capsule inside the center console.
Felony charges were filed in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
A charge is merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
