LINCOLN COUNTY — An early-morning disturbance inside a Lincoln County residence led to felony assault and impaired driving charges after deputies responded to a reported attack involving a household dispute.

Deputies were dispatched shortly after 3:40 a.m. Saturday after a victim reported being assaulted inside the home. According to the investigation, the confrontation began in a bedroom and escalated into the kitchen area, where the victim reported being struck multiple times and having her hair pulled.

Responding deputies documented visible injuries, including facial bruising, swelling, and cuts. The victim later provided a written statement requesting prosecution.

During the response, deputies also identified signs of impairment. Field sobriety testing was conducted, and open alcoholic beverage containers were located inside the vehicle the suspect had been driving. A breath test later indicated a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.

The suspect was transported for medical clearance before being booked into the Lincoln County Jail.

As a result of the investigation, Chelsie Ann Larue was charged with the following:
