LINCOLN COUNTY — A Saint Peters man is facing multiple criminal charges following a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier this month in Lincoln County.
Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Saturday, January 11, 2026, after receiving reports of a domestic altercation inside the home. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the reporting party, who appeared visibly upset and showed signs of physical injury.

According to court records, the investigation determined that a physical confrontation occurred inside the residence, during which the victim reported being struck. Children were present in the home at the time of the incident, which became a factor in the charges ultimately filed.
Deputies documented visible injuries and gathered statements as part of the investigation.
As a result of the investigation, Richard R. Pearson was charged with multiple offenses, including endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree and domestic assault in the fourth degree. A warrant for Pearson’s arrest was issued, and he was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Lincoln County Jail.
Bond was authorized by the court with conditions, including no contact with the victim upon release.
Pearson is scheduled to appear in Lincoln County Circuit Court for a bond reduction hearing on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
All charges are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
