What started as an argument inside the home quickly spiraled after the woman attempted to leave the residence.

During the confrontation, Elyon allegedly took her purse and told her he was taking all of her money so she could not leave. While trying to gather her belongings, the woman said she was struck in the face before Elyon briefly left the residence.

When he returned, the situation escalated further.

The woman described Elyon throwing items throughout the home before allegedly throwing a full beer can that struck her in the arm and side of the face. Moments later, Elyon allegedly grabbed a crowbar and began damaging property inside the residence before turning toward the woman and swinging the crowbar in her direction.

The woman said she fell backward onto a bed while trying to avoid being struck.

Deputies later documented bruising, swelling, and redness injuries while also finding extensive damage throughout the residence, including broken household items, damaged storage totes, impact damage, and beer residue spread across walls and furniture.

After the confrontation, Elyon allegedly fled into nearby woods while still carrying the crowbar.

The woman also described previous incidents where Elyon allegedly hid in wooded areas before returning after law enforcement left the area.

During the investigation, deputies located a camera mounted high in a tree overlooking the property and roadway. The woman believed Elyon used the camera system to remotely monitor law enforcement activity from his cellphone while hiding nearby.

Later that evening, deputies learned Elyon had returned to the residence.

Law enforcement surrounded the home and repeatedly ordered Elyon to surrender, but he allegedly refused to come outside. Deputies reported hearing movement throughout the residence as Elyon allegedly attempted to further secure entry points inside the home.

After a search warrant was obtained, Elyon was given additional time to voluntarily surrender before the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office MDET team prepared to enter the residence.

When Elyon still refused to come outside, the tactical team entered the home and took him into custody after deputies physically restrained him during the arrest.

Investigators also located firearms inside the residence during the investigation.
