TROY, Mo. — A Troy man remains in custody after police say a Friday afternoon disturbance involving a knife led investigators to execute a search warrant at his residence three days later.
The incident unfolded during a weekend that brought a noticeable law enforcement presence to the Oak Forest Drive and Shingle Oak Court area, beginning with an unrelated death investigation early Friday and continuing with the reported disturbance later that afternoon.
Jon Bramlett of Troy. Missouri.

Charges:
Unlawful Use Of A Weapon — Exhibiting — Class E Felony
Assault In The Fourth Degree — Class C Misdemeanor
The incident began shortly after 5:20 p.m. Friday, July 10, when Troy Police officers responded to the 2400 block of Oak Forest Drive following reports of individuals chasing one another while armed with knives.
Officers met with an individual who said he had gone to the residence to retrieve personal belongings belonging to a deceased friend.
While standing in the driveway, the individual reported seeing Bramlett arrive in a vehicle.
Police say Bramlett exited the vehicle carrying a knife described as having a blue handle and curved blade before chasing the individual west along Oak Forest Drive toward Highway J.
During the pursuit, Bramlett allegedly threatened the individual, who told officers he feared he was about to be physically injured and ran from the area.
Bramlett eventually stopped the pursuit, returned to his vehicle and left the area. Police say he briefly returned while still carrying the knife before leaving again.

Officers later attempted to locate Bramlett at his residence on Shingle Oak Court but were unsuccessful.
Investigators subsequently obtained a search warrant for the residence.
On Monday, July 13, Troy Police officers returned to Shingle Oak Court to execute the warrant.
Officers knocked and announced their presence several times before entering the residence after receiving no response.
Bramlett was located inside the home. He complied with officers’ commands, showed his hands and exited the residence before being taken into custody without further incident.
At least one woman was also temporarily detained during the police response before later being released.
Monday’s police activity drew attention from residents as multiple Troy Police officers remained outside the Shingle Oak Court residence while the warrant was carried out.
Lincoln CountyWatch had received multiple community tips regarding the law enforcement presence and reached out to Troy Police for additional information.
Interim Chief Bob Ronkoski confirmed the investigation began as a domestic disturbance and advised there was no threat to the public. At the time, he said additional information would be released after the investigation and warrant application were completed.
The reported knife incident occurred several hours after Troy Police and the Lincoln County Coroner’s Office responded to the death of Joshua Nations in the 2400 block of Oak Forest Drive earlier Friday.
The individual involved in the later disturbance told police he had gone to the residence to retrieve personal belongings belonging to a deceased friend.
The two investigations occurred at the same location and were part of the broader law enforcement activity in the neighborhood. However, Bramlett has not been charged in connection with Nations’ death, and no information released by authorities alleges that he was involved in the death.
Bramlett remained in custody at the Lincoln County Jail at the time of publication.
