Troy Man Charged With Felony Domestic Assault Following Early Morning Disturbance

Troy, Mo. — A Troy man is facing a felony domestic assault charge after police say an argument inside a residence early Thursday morning turned violent, leaving a woman injured and prompting a response from the Troy Police Department.
Investigators allege Tyler Michael Hausgen became physically aggressive during the disturbance, with the victim reporting she was pulled from a bed, thrown to the floor, and repeatedly shoved during the altercation. Authorities also allege Hausgen prevented the victim from successfully calling 911 before she attempted to get away inside the residence.
When officers arrived, court documents state they observed signs of a physical struggle along with visible injuries consistent with the reported assault.

Charge:
• Domestic Assault — 3rd Degree (Class E Felony)
The investigation began after officers responded to a domestic disturbance call around 1:45 a.m. Thursday in Troy. During the investigation, the victim told officers an argument inside the home escalated into a physical confrontation.
Court documents state officers observed physical evidence inside the residence consistent with an altercation, including scattered jewelry and visible injuries reportedly sustained during the incident.
Hausgen was arrested and later formally charged in Lincoln County Circuit Court.
