TROY, Mo. — A Troy man is facing multiple charges after police say he behaved in a threatening manner toward employees and customers at a local gas station late Wednesday night.
Officers were called to the Casey’s gas station in Troy shortly after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, after staff reported a man refusing to leave the store and causing concern for employee safety. Police responded to the scene and began documenting statements from those involved, which later led to the arrest of Dillon Hollis.

Charges:
Assault — 4th Degree (Class C misdemeanor)
Assault — 4th Degree (Class C misdemeanor)
Trespassing — 2nd Degree (infraction)
Bond: $4,000 cash-only
According to information included in court filings, employees told police that Hollis had been asked multiple times to leave the store after creating a disturbance. Staff reported that Hollis did not comply and instead moved behind the counter area, where he began approaching employees.
One employee told police she believed Hollis was “going to attempt to assault” her as he moved closer in what she described as a threatening manner. Another employee reported that Hollis continued advancing toward staff despite being told to leave.
Witnesses stated that customers inside the store stepped between Hollis and the employees in an attempt to keep him from getting any closer. One customer reportedly positioned himself directly in front of Hollis to prevent further escalation.
Employees also told police that Hollis had previously attempted to engage in an altercation inside the store and that his behavior caused multiple staff members to fear for their safety. Hollis ultimately left the store shortly before officers arrived.
Police later collected statements from employees and witnesses as part of the investigation. Charges were filed alleging Hollis knowingly placed others in apprehension of immediate physical injury and unlawfully remained on the property after being told to leave.
Court records also reflect that Hollis has prior convictions in Missouri, including offenses involving resisting arrest, fleeing, motor vehicle tampering, delivery of a controlled substance, and sexual misconduct. The records further indicate several assault-related cases were pending in 2025 at the time the warrant was issued.
A judge authorized the arrest warrant and set bond at $4,000 cash-only. No injuries were reported in connection with this incident.
The case will proceed through the Lincoln County court system.
