Winfield, Mo. — A domestic disturbance inside a Winfield home Saturday afternoon ended with a local business owner jailed after deputies say an argument escalated into a physical altercation in front of a child.
Bo Jiang, of Winfield, Missouri.

Charges:
• Domestic Assault — 3rd Degree
• Domestic Assault — 4th Degree — 1st or 2nd Offense
• Endangering The Welfare Of A Child — 2nd Degree
Deputies responded Saturday afternoon after a 911 caller reported a woman had been harmed. Responding deputies noted there was initially a language barrier during the emergency call.
When deputies arrived, they reportedly found the woman crying, visibly upset, and showing swelling and bruising injuries.
Investigators say the altercation stemmed from an argument involving family matters and a broken cellphone before turning physical inside the residence.
The woman told deputies Jiang allegedly grabbed her hands and forced them behind her back during the confrontation.
Deputies later made contact with Jiang at his place of business in Winfield. During that conversation, Jiang reportedly discussed financial stress inside the household.
When asked whether the situation became physical, deputies noted Jiang did not deny it.
Jiang was later arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
