Charges

Bond for Jeffery Brothers has been set at $5,000 cash only. He is currently being held in custody. A court appearance has not yet been listed.
Police were dispatched to the area around 5:30 PM Sunday evening after receiving reports of a physical disturbance involving multiple people.
According to investigators, a nearby resident reported hearing yelling and screaming coming from outside and went to see what was happening. The witness said they observed Jonathan and Jeffery Brothers on top of another individual, who was on the ground.
The victim was eventually able to get up and attempted to walk away from the situation.
Investigators say the confrontation continued when Jonathan Brothers approached the victim again, yelling and demanding a cigarette. When the victim walked away, Jonathan allegedly struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Witnesses reported the altercation escalated further as both brothers continued confronting the victim. The victim eventually fought back, throwing Jonathan to the ground and kicking him in the head during the struggle.
At one point, a woman attempted to step between the individuals in an effort to stop the fight.
When officers arrived, they observed injuries consistent with the altercation, including minor facial injuries and a bloody nose.
Police say the investigation determined Jonathan Brothers was the primary aggressor in the incident, though both brothers were involved in the altercation.
Both men were taken into custody following the investigation.
A charge is merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
