TROY, Mo. — A break-in at a Troy smoke shop earlier this month ended with an arrest after investigators say a suspect smashed through the storefront window and made off with thousands of dollars in cannabis products before being identified and taken into custody.
The burglary happened in the early morning hours of March 4 at Euphoria Smoke and Novelty, located along East Highway 47 in Troy.
Employees arriving to open the business discovered the front window shattered, with glass scattered across the sidewalk and throughout the front of the store.
Investigators say the suspect threw a rock through the storefront window to gain entry into the shop.
Once inside, authorities say the suspect moved through the store collecting merchandise before leaving through the same broken window. During the break-in, a large refrigerator near the front of the store was also knocked over, causing additional damage inside the business.

Charges:
• Burglary – 2nd Degree (Felony D)
• Stealing $750 or More (Felony D)
• Property Damage – 1st Degree (Felony D)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony D)
Hill is currently in custody on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
Investigators say surveillance video and other evidence helped identify Hill as the suspect involved in the break-in.
According to investigators, the suspect stole multiple cannabis-related products from the store, including dozens of pre-rolls and large quantities of THCA flower.
The business owner later reported the following items stolen:
• 55 individually wrapped pre-rolls
• 19 premium pre-rolls
• 10 sugar pre-rolls
• Approximately 653 grams of THCA flower
Authorities say the total value of the stolen merchandise exceeded $6,000.
In addition to the stolen products, investigators say the break-in caused significant damage to the storefront window and interior equipment, with property damage estimates exceeding $2,000.
Hill was later located and taken into custody. Investigators say officers also discovered methamphetamine in Hill’s possession at the time of his arrest.
Hill is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Lincoln County Associate Circuit Court in Troy.
Hill is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
