TROY, Mo. — A Troy man is facing new misdemeanor charges following a domestic disturbance that led to his arrest earlier this week, according to court records.
Craig Steven Kowalik has been charged with Domestic Assault in the Fourth Degree and Resisting or Interfering With Arrest, both Class A misdemeanors under Missouri law.

According to the probable cause statement filed with the court, Troy Police responded to a reported domestic incident on December 30, 2025. Officers made contact with a victim who reported being struck in the face during an altercation. Police noted visible injury consistent with the report.
When officers attempted to detain Kowalik, court documents state he was uncooperative and resisted arrest by stiffening his arms and refusing commands. Officers ultimately took him into custody.
Lincoln CountyWatch confirmed Wednesday that Kowalik is currently in custody at the Lincoln County Jail.
Court records show that a warrant was issued in the case, and bond was requested by the prosecutor in the amount of $2,000 cash only, along with standard conditions including no contact with the victim.
