The investigation began Sunday evening after Elsberry Police received information that Goodman, who had an active warrant, was inside the residence.
Officers from the Elsberry Police Department, along with deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the MDET Street Crimes & Apprehension Unit, responded to the home.
Authorities say the property owner gave consent for officers to enter the residence. Goodman was reportedly barricaded inside a rear bedroom and did not comply with repeated verbal commands to exit.
After several warnings, a K9 unit was deployed and located Goodman hiding inside a concealed closet area within the bedroom. Investigators state she resisted during the arrest before being taken into custody.
While securing the residence, officers located Adams and Nelson inside the home.
During the investigation, officers reportedly located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the bedroom. Authorities allege Adams had approximately 2.9 grams of methamphetamine in his pocket, while Nelson allegedly had approximately 1.0 gram. A glass pipe containing residue consistent with methamphetamine was also found. In total, approximately 3.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine were recovered.
Adams and Nelson both had active warrants for failure to appear at the time of the incident.
All three were arrested Sunday evening and remain in custody at the Lincoln County Jail.
An arrest warrant in the case was signed by Associate Circuit Judge Michael R. Jacobs of the 45th Judicial Circuit.
A charge is merely an accusation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
