Winfield, Mo. — Public comment is scheduled to return during tonight’s Winfield Board of Aldermen meeting as city officials are also expected to discuss the vacant Ward 2 alderman position.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Winfield City Hall.
Tonight’s agenda includes both “Public Comment – Agenda Item” and “Public Comment – Non-Agenda Item” sections after recent meetings where public comment had been removed from the agenda.
The board is also expected to discuss the vacant Ward 2 seat under new business.
Additional agenda items include street repair bids, fuel cards and fuel tanks, animal control matters, a proposed ordinance related to weeds and noxious plants, and a proposed revision to the city’s standards of conduct policy.
Department reports are also expected from the Winfield Police Department, Public Works, and the City Clerk’s Office.
The agenda additionally includes a mayoral proclamation recognizing June as Road Safety Month before the board enters closed session.
