A large emergency response was seen Saturday afternoon near Hwy 79 and Hwy 47 in Winfield after reports of a structure fire with a confirmed patient at the scene.

Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and passenger car Thursday evening at Hwy 47 and Millstone Lake Drive in Winfield. A 51-year-old Winfield man was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with moderate injuries.

A theft report at County Market in Winfield ended without charges after the alcohol was later found inside the store, according to CAD notes and statements obtained by Lincoln CountyWatch.

Public comment is scheduled to return during tonight’s Winfield Board of Aldermen meeting as officials are also expected to discuss the vacant Ward 2 alderman position.

A disturbance in Troy Tuesday night led to five arrests after police say a truck nearly struck someone, property was damaged, and several people interfered with officers attempting to make arrests.
